Psych & Soma supports mental health and healthcare professionals through clinical supervision, psychological consultation and pre-surgical psychology assessment. Supervision offers a reflective space to develop your practice, consultation brings psychologically informed input to complex cases across multidisciplinary teams, and pre-surgical assessment helps people prepare for a range of general and elective surgeries.
Psych & Soma provides clinical supervision (1:1 or groups) to mental health professionals, offering a supportive and reflective space to develop clinical skills, enhance confidence, and maintain high standards of practice. Supervision is tailored to your level of experience and professional needs, with a focus on evidence-based practice, ethical decision-making, case formulation, and professional development. Psych & Soma provides psychological consultation (1:1 or groups) to a range of healthcare professionals, including General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Nurse Specialists and other members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams. This can include providing psychologically informed perspectives on clinical work, helping to explore and formulate complex cases where psychological, physical, and behavioural factors interact. Psych & Soma provide pre-surgical psychological assessments for individuals preparing to undergo a range of surgical procedures. These assessments explore psychological wellbeing, expectations of surgery, and any factors that may influence preparation for, or recovery from, the procedure. Such assessments are suitable for many general and elective surgeries; however, Psych & Soma do not provide highly specialist pre-surgical psychology assessments where these require specialist expertise or form part of a dedicated tertiary service.
